The BlackBerry Trade Up Program is managed by Flipswap, Inc, an independently owned and operated organization dedicated to the environmentally responsible reuse and recycling of old cell phones.

The BlackBerry Trade Up Program gives you two options when trading up to a new BlackBerry smartphone.

Put the extra cash from your old device towards your purchase of a new BlackBerry Smartphone or;

Donate the funds generated from your trade-in to one of the charities listed in the menu at the end of the quote process.

Free Shipping and Postage

The postage is on us! Once you have accepted the credit offered for your phone, simply print out the prepaid shipping label and attach it to the outside of your package. All postage is paid for. We recommend that you add shipping insurance at your local post office if you are trading in high-value items.

If you're trading in multiple devices from multiple locations, simply send us an email at blackberrytradeup@flipswap.com and a customer service representative will contact you to provide assistance.

When sending in your old device, be sure to include:

1. Proof of Purchase receipt for your new BlackBerry smartphone. (see below for alternatives).
2. The trade-in receipt. This will ensure you get trade-in value originally quoted.

Devices received more than 30 days after the original date of the trade-in quote may result in a payment different from the original quote.

Promo Codes

If you are using a promotion code, it must be applied to a trade-in quote at the time the quote is submitted and cannot be applied once a trade-in is completed, in transit to, or is already received by Flipswap. Any Promotional Bonus Amounts originally quoted are only valid if old cellphone(s) or wireless devices(s) are received within 30 days of quote.

BlackBerry smartphone proof of purchase receipt

In order to receive the trade-in value for your old cell phone or wireless device(s), you will need to provide a proof of purchase receipt for a new BlackBerry smartphone. The purchase will need to have been 30 days prior to or 30 days after the quote date. You can provide this in the following ways:

Please print out and include a copy of your trade in quote with any proof of purchase or receipts provided.

One old device will be accepted for each new BlackBerry smartphone purchased.

Hundreds of different phones yield a cash or donation value

Flipswap accepts phones from ANY manufacturer and ANY carrier in ANY condition. If you can't find your phone in our list, we'll add it for you within 48 hours! Simply send an email to blackberrytradeup@flipswap.com with the manufacturer and model of your phone, and we'll send you an email as soon as it is added!

Plant a tree with Flipswap's reLeaf initiative

With Flipswap's reLeaf initiative you can trade your old mobile phones in for a tree. Old or broken mobile devices may not yield a trade-in value. Flipswap will still provide free shipping for those devices and ensure that they are recycled using the most eco-friendly process available. Flipswap will then plant a tree for you in one of several reforestation projects world wide.

Flipswap estimates they will plant 25,000 trees through the reLeaf initiative in 2008. For each recycled device, Flipswap's reLeaf initiative will ensure a donation, equivalent to one (1) tree, is made to carbonfund.org in support of their reforestation projects in Nicaragua and Louisiana.
